The AeroWeb is an Aerospace & Defense market intelligence platform jointly owned by Barr Group Aerospace and J. Kasper Oestergaard. It is designed to support the aerospace industry by providing up-to-date economic information and forecasts. The data is provided free of charge. The AeroWeb has almost 30,000 visitors per month and is growing rapidly.
The main offices of Barr Group Aerospace are located in the city of Gulf Shores, in Baldwin County, Alabama. Gulf Shores is located on the Gulf Coast. The beautiful scenery, warm climate, and wide sandy beaches make it a popular holiday destination. We plan to hold some of our aerospace meetings and events at local resorts.

Dr. Barr is Managing Director and Senior Aerospace Economist at Barr Group Aerospace. He is Professor Emeritus in economics and finance at the University of Tennessee, where he served as the Tom Hendrix Chair of Excellence in Private Enterprise. He has been a financial consultant to the U.S. Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency as well as numerous companies such as Raytheon, Goodyear, Honeywell and Alcoa. He has written several books including more recently, "The Expeditionary Aerospace Force" for the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Dr. Barr is currently an adjunct professor of economics at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
J. Kasper Oestergaard is in charge of economic research & technology activities at Barr Group Aerospace. He is the developer and designer of the AeroWeb, a comprehensive aerospace market intelligence website, which is used by the U.S. military and all major OEMs and primes. He is an expert on defense spending and defense programs. Mr. Oestergaard has a Master's Degree in Finance and International Business from the Aarhus School of Business - Aarhus University in Denmark.
Stanton E. Smith is the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Stan comes to BGA after a long career with Northrop Grumman where he held the position as Director of Proposals, Electronic System Sector, Estimating and Pricing. Working out of their Baltimore office, he was responsible for estimating and pricing in the Electronic System sector as well as cost analysis, estimating system oversight, and audit. His more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry dates all the way back to his years with Vought Aircraft, prior to their merger with Northrop Grumman, where he also managed both commercial and military contracts and pricing organizations. He earned his B.A. from Hillsdale College, his MBA from the University of Texas, Arlington and holds a Masters Certificate from George Washington University in Government Contracting. For three years, until March 2012, he served as Chairman leader of the Northrop Grumman DCAA Working Group. At Barr Group Aerospace, he will assume all the duties of marketing and business development leadership. In particular, his responsibility will be to help further the widespread use of the nation's number one online source for aerospace information, the AeroWeb.
