Robin Sobotta is a Professor of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and the Chair of the Department of Business at ERAU-Prescott. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Arizona State University and an MBA in Aviation from ERAU. Dr. Sobotta has 15 years experience in the aviation and transportation industries including a management position at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. She currently serves on the Arizona Aerospace and Defense Commission, and has been a business and technical consultant to NASA-Dryden Flight Research Center. Dr. Sobotta has engaged in funded research relating to bioterrorism and explosive detection technology development, bioterrorism and transportation planning, unmanned aviation, security training, and the economic impact of aviation.
Dr. Sobotta's research interests include: airports and aerospace issues (environmental justice, unmanned systems, public policy, and economic impact), and security/defense issues (border security).
